About The Artist

You are 8 years old. The smell of wet grass on a humid summer morning fills the air, the sounds of early birds chirping echo in your ears, the morning sun shines through your living room window gently touching your skin like a warm hug- Spongebob is playing on the large box TV that rests on a cherry wood antique entertainment center- your parents are cooking pancakes and eggs in the kitchen- the aroma slowly creeps through the air in your home along with the mumbling and giggling of conversation and clinking of the occasional spatula hitting the aluminum frying pan- your sat on the family sofa where you and your siblings spent last Christmas laughing and opening all of your special gifts from "Santa" whom you all know is actually your mother (which is way better if you ask me)- in front of you on the coffee table is construction paper that your mom picked up for you on her last run for groceries and one of those packages of paint that come in every kids crafting kit- in your hand is a cheap paintbrush that came out of that same crafting kit- and life couldn't be better.  This is where it all started for me. My first paintings were born on that coffee table in the family room amongst the hustle and bustle of life.

Since then, I have become a mother, jumping from career to career, experiencing life in relationships and single parenthood, in and out of college collecting certifications for whichever venture peaks my interest at the time.  But still, I sit at the coffee table, amongst the hustle and bustle of life, amongst the chaos of a home filled with children playing, at night by the light of a lamp while everyone is asleep and all I can hear are the faint sounds of crickets outside my window, with a paintbrush in my hand, and I paint.

I paint for the mothers, the fathers, the married couple, the birthday girl, the grandmother, the Christmas gift giver, the child who loves dinosaurs, the woman missing her beloved pet, the daughter missing her mother whose passed, the family that never got that perfect picture together, the teacher on the first day back in class, the business owner, the retired couple who wants to bring a spark to their home- now I paint for you.
